Submission Procedure and Publication

Authors are encouraged to submit original scientific contributions to GW2011 in the form of extended abstracts of at least two pages (including all possible figures and references). The maximum length of the extended abstracts is 4 pages.

a bullet Format of the extended abstracts:

Submitted abstracts must be in English and should, to the extent possible, use language that will be understood across disciplines i.e. avoids unnecessary jargon.

Upon review of the extended abstracts and acceptance by the GW2011 Program Committee, authors will be asked to present their work either orally, as a poster, or in form of a technical demonstration (where applicable).

All accepted contributions will be distributed as an electronic "Book of Abstracts" to the participants of the GW2011.

In line with the practice of previous International Gesture Workshops, authors of accepted contributions will be invited after the workshop to submit a revised extended paper for publication in a subsequent high-quality peer-reviewed volume, typically published by Springer-Verlag series of Volumes on Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (see list of previous proceedings). The length of the extended paper must be preferably 12 pages. The minimum number of pages is 10.
