Description:

The DAISY Pipeline is a generic framework for document- and DTB-related pipelined transformations. It operates mainly with scripts. Scripts are XML documents representing a sequence of steps (i.e. a chain of transformers), each step performing an operation on the input data or the result of the previous step. When a user wants to run a new Pipeline Job, he first selects a script and then provides values for its parameters. The Pipeline supports the following input formats: WordML 2003, ODF (OpenOffice.org), RTF, XHTML, Audacity, etc. It supports in the conversion of documents into various output formats: Daisy 2.02 DTBs, DAISY/NISO Z39.86 2005 DTBs, Open eBook (OPS 2.0, OCF), XHTML, RTF, LaTeX.

Operating system: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8

Installation: Run the file  PipelineGUI-20111215-Win.

Settings: On the tag File, New, Pipeline job you choose the transformation script. On the tag Window, Show View, you can choose: (a) To display a window for the analysis, details of the script, (b) to display the window with the messages of the running task, (c) to show the progress of the task. On the tag Window, Preferences, you can choose: (a) the appearance of the application (fonts, messaging location, etc.), (b) to change the commands that the application receives through the keyboard, (c) the repeating or not of the script.
