Accessibility Advisor Professors

In every Department/Faculty of the NKUA two faculty members are appointed Accessibility Advisor Professor and Deputy Accessibility Advisor Professor for the support of Students with Disabilities and Students with Special Educational Needs (SwD&SED) during their studies. The Accessibility Advisor Professor is the link between the SwD&SED and other faculty members and members of the teaching staff. He/she plays a central role in the efficient support of the SwD&SED; thanks to the Accessibility Advisor Professor, SwD don’t have to contact and meet every faculty member or member of the teaching staff separately in order to get accommodations that would allow them to overcome the obstacles they face.

SwD&SED contact the Accessibility Advisor Professor of their Department/Faculty on their own initiative as long as they have followed the relevant procedure. However, in case SwD&SED have difficulty contacting the Accessibility Advisor Professor, they can inform the Accessibility Unit about any matter concerning them.

Accessibility Advisor Professors adhere to the provisions for the protection of personal data and do not share information about registered students with parents and guardians or other individuals communicating on behalf of students, except in cases where another legal representative has been designated for the student.
